On 12 December 2024, results of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024 were solemnly announced in São Paulo (Brazil).

This ranking evaluates universities that are the most successful in implementing sustainable development goals in all aspects of activities: infrastructure, water and waste management, energy and climate change, transportation, environmental education, research.

The fifteenth ranking edition includes about 1,500 universities from 95 countries, including 25 domestic institutions.

The growing attention of academic community to implementation of sustainable development goals is confirmed by a significant increase in number of institutions represented in this ranking. The global number of universities has increased by 25%. The number of domestic institutions represented in the ranking has also risen by 30%. Despite this, SumDU ranks second among Ukrainian universities and belongs to the top 330 universities worldwide.
