On 17 December 2024, a teleconference was held at Sumy State University to connect the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Geneva, Switzerland) with the Sumy Territorial Branch of the Ukrainian Junior Academy of Sciences. The event was continuation of teleconferences and webinars that have already brought together Kherson, Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Mariupol, Bucha, Irpin, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro. The organizers support educators and talented youth from unconquered cities of Ukraine. This time it took place in Sumy.

Students, teachers and scientists from different parts of Ukraine joined online. The participants had an opportunity to communicate with world-class experts. They get inspired for further scientific achievements.

“Big science begins with the Junior Academy of Sciences. It is your first step into science. Engineering, math and physics are extremely important. I believe this knowledge will be the basis for rebuilding our country after victory,” – emphasized Vasyl KARPUSHA (SumDU rector).

According to Viktoriya HROBOVA (director at the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy Regional Military Administration), over three thousand future scientists are participating in the Junior Academy of Sciences in Sumy Region.

The event was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. It unfolded space for discussing important issues of science and education in Ukraine.
