Four students and one graduate of Sumy State University will be the face of Ukrainian team at the XXXII World Universiade. It will be held in Turin (Italy) on 13-23 January 2025.
Our biathlonist (Bohdan BORKOVSKYI, Vladyslav CHYKHAR, Serhii SUPRUN, Kseniia PRYKHODKO) come from the Physical Culture and Sports major at the Medical Institute. Dmytro HRUSHCHAK is a graduate of the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies.
The biathlon competitions will start on 14 January with short individual races for men and women.
The Winter Universiade is a multi-sport competition that takes place every two years and brings together student athletes from all over the world.
Over 2000 athletes from 57 countries will compete in 11 sports in Turin.
According to the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science, our country will be represented by 55 athletes in seven sports.
