Bohdan BORKOVSKYI, a student majoring in Physical Culture and Sports at the Medical Institute, brought Ukraine the fourth and SumDU the third medal in biathlon at the Universiade in Turin (Italy). He took the third place in the sprint race, winning a bronze medal.
Two other SumDU biathletes, Serhii SUSPUN and Vladyslav CHYKHAR, took the 6th and 26th places, respectively.
Bohdan demonstrated a high quality of training. He closed all targets in the first shooting (prone) and made one mistake in the rack. Thanks to his fast course, he finished among the leaders. Bohdan BORKOVSKYI won a bronze medal at the race end.
This medal was a continuation of successful performances of SumDU biathlon representatives at the 2025 Universiade. SumDU already has two “golds” in its sports treasury, won earlier by Bohdan BORKOVSKYI in the short individual race and Serhii SUPRUN in the mixed single relay.
SumDU is proud of another achievement and wishes Bohdan BORKOVSKYI new success in the international arena!
