On 22 January 2025, students and staff of Sumy State University, together with representatives of the Mechanical Engineering College, joined the all-Ukrainian action “In Unity, We Stand Strong”. The event took place in Sumy near the monument to Taras Shevchenko.

Participants honored the memory of fallen heroes with a minute of silence. They laid flowers expressing gratitude for their contribution to struggle for freedom and unity of Ukraine.

The Unity Day, which our country celebrates annually on 22 January, reminds us that only through joint efforts can the Ukrainian people overcome any challenges. This day is a symbol of national unity and indivisibility of our country.
