On 21 February 2025, SumDU rector Vasyl KARPUSHA and vice-rector for research Anatolii CHORNOUS met with Vasyl KREMEN. The latter is president of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, chairman of the SumDU Supervisory Board.

The participants discussed results of the university activities in 2024 and identified priorities for 2025.

Anatolii CHORNOUS noted that in 2024, funding for research and development at SumDU amounted to about UAH 155 million. This is the highest figure for the period of the university activity. It has been constantly increasing over the past few years.

“We had a productive and constructive conversation with Vasyl Hryhorovych KREMEN. Particular attention was paid to prospects for development of scientific research and implementation of innovative projects. Despite all challenges, SumDU holds a strong scientific front. Because science moves society forward. I am sincerely grateful to Vasyl Hryhorovych for his appreciation of the university and our entire team, for his reliable support, wise and practical advice. It motivates and inspires us to continue work. We appreciate our cooperation. Together, in synergy with the Supervisory Board, we are working for development of SumDU, Ukrainian education and science!” – Vasyl KARPUSHA summarized results of the meeting.
