On 12 March 2025, the results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 were published. This year's edition includes 171 new institutions compared to 2024. Here, we can see 10 best Ukrainian universities from Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy and Kharkiv.

SumDU is among the universities included in the QS sectoral rankings for the first time, as it was included in the Economics and Econometrics sector. Five Ukrainian institutions are represented in this field: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (501-550th place), State University of Trade and Economics, Kyiv Polytechnical University, SumDU and V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (551-700th places). In 2024, only Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv represented Ukraine in the Economics and Econometrics sectoral ranking.
