Sumy State University, as part of the Ukrainian delegation at the “Study in Ukraine” national stand, took part in the annual international education fair held within the framework of the Forum International de l'Étudiant. The event took place in early April in Casablanca, Morocco, and brought together representatives of universities from Europe, Asia, and North America.
SumDU was represented at the fair by Dr. Tetyana MAYBORODA, Deputy Head of the Department for International Affairs, and Mykola BOZHKO, Head of the Center for International Education.
The official opening ceremony of the exhibition welcomed representatives of ministries, embassies, and official delegations from various countries, in particular, the Embassy of Ukraine in Morocco took part in the event. The honor of cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony was granted to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Morocco, Serhii Saienko, who, along with a large delegation of distinguished guests, visited and expressed support for the “Study in Ukraine” stand, which featured five Ukrainian universities.
Later that day, a special session dedicated to Ukraine was held, featuring a panel discussion with the participation of Serhii SAIENKO, Ambassador of Ukraine to Morocco, Olena SHAPOVALOVA, Director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education and Radouane DAHMI, Head of the Association of Ukrainian University Alumni in Morocco and a graduate of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, class of 1991.
Throughout the event, the SumDU stand drew the interest of students, parents, alumni, and representatives of universities from different countries, all seeking to establish partnerships, exchange ideas, and share experiences related to international student engagement.
The program also included visits to several international schools in Casablanca, where representatives of SumDU, alongside other participants of the “Study in Ukraine” stand, conducted interactive consultations with high school graduates on the opportunities to pursue higher education in Ukraine.
