From 22 March to 24 April 2025, the regional folk choreography competition “Polissya Patterns” was held in Sumy Oblast. The initiative belonged to the Department of Culture of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

41 dance groups from 19 territorial communities of Sumy Oblast presented their creative achievements.

The Dance Theater “Extravaganza” of Sumy State University presented two choreographic compositions “Lemkivski Zabavky” and “Varenychky”.

According to the results, the SumDU dance team took the first place. The jury noted high skills of the Extravaganza participants, their brightness and originality.
