In 14-17 May 2025, a delegation from the Department of International Economic Relations of the BiEM Institute visited the JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland).

Together with Finnish colleagues, the department is working on implementation of the project “The Entrepreneurial Ukraine: Developing Entrepreneurial Culture and Competencies of Students in Ukraine and Finland”.

The delegation included Yulia HALYNSKA (professor); Maryna DOMASHENKO and Oksana ZAMORA (associate professors); Anton ZHURAVKA, Daryna PETROVCHUK, Ilona PASHCHENKO, Valeriia KUCHKOVA and Anna PASKO (students majoring in International Economic Relations; Travel Business and Hospitality Industry).

As part of the project, a joint conference “International Conference on New Insights in Sustainable Business, Innovations and Responsible Management” was held.

In addition to workshops, the conference program included a panel discussion on “Entrepreneurial Talent, Knowledge Creation, and Profitable Employment from the Student’s Perspective”.

Proceedings will be published based on conference results.

During meetings with representatives of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Yuliia HALYNSKA and Maryna DOMASHENKO presented SumDU achievements in international and scientific fields to their Finnish colleagues. They suggested ways of further cooperation. Agreements were reached on creating a unique platform for young scientists, students and postgraduates, presenting their research to international academic community. Another trend comprised conducting joint research by JAMK scientists and the SumDU Department of International Economic Relations. Also, there was a plan of roadmap development for implementing scientific and educational programs and projects.
