The British rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published results of the QS World University Rankings 2026. It features 1,501 higher education institutions from over 100 countries, including 10 higher education institutions in Ukraine.

SumDU is ranked within the 1001-1200 range in the world ranking and in the fourth place among Ukrainian institutions, along with Lviv Polytechnic National University and Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.

SumDU received high marks among Ukrainian institutions for internationalization of educational process, citation of scientific publications, and success in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
