On 24-25 June 2025, the annual NATO summit and public forum was held in the Hague (the Netherlands). It was attended by 500 politicians, military personnel, diplomats, scientists, and heads of analytical centers. Among the participants, there was a SumDU representative – Mykola NAZAROV (PhD in Political Science, head of the Center for Regional Security Studies).
Mark RUTTE (the NATO Secretary General) presented in detail key decisions adopted at the summit and other topics that NATO is involved in. The summit also featured a Defense Industry Forum, which brought together political and military leaders, as well as industry leaders, to strengthen efforts in raising defense production in Alliance countries. At the same time, NATO defense ministers held a working dinner, as did the Alliance foreign ministers, who met with Andrii SYBIHA (the Ukrainian Foreign Minister).
The NATO Public Forum was organized jointly by the Dutch government in cooperation with the Atlantic Commission, the Clingendael Institute, and the Hague Center for Strategic Studies. The participation of the SumDU representative was made possible thanks to the university long-standing cooperation with the NATO Representation in Ukraine and Ms. Winette KLEINE herself.
