On the final day of the 2025 FISU World Summer University Games in Germany, Mykola RUSHCHAK, a SumDU student, won a bronze medal in the 20 km race walk!

Mykola finished third with a time of 1:20:10. He demonstrated brilliant technique, endurance, and a thirst for victory.

The gold medal went to Andrea COSSI from Italy (1:19:48). The silver acquired Atsuki TSUCHII from Japan (1:20:08) who beat the Ukrainian by just two seconds.

Mykola RUSCHAK gave a real gift for Medical Workers' Day by winning an award in a prestigious international competition! This is a great achievement not only for the athlete himself, but also for the entire university.

We sincerely congratulate Mykola and the coaching staff of the Sports Club on this achievement!

Today, the Ukrainian team has already won 12 medals at the University Games: 3 golds, 4 silvers, and 5 bronzes.

Today, we are also rooting for Viktoriia BARANOVSKA, who will compete in the triple jump final. We wish her a successful performance and new medals for Ukraine!
