On 26-27 July 2025, the European Junior Judo Cup was held in Birmingham (Great Britain). Representatives from many countries took part in the competition, demonstrating a high level of training and skill.

Among winners, there were students majoring in Physical Culture and Sports at the SumDU Medical Institute.

Oleksii BOLDYRIEV won a gold medal in the weight category up to 90 kg. This is already the athlete’s seventh gold medal at European level competitions.

Kristina OPANASENKO won a silver medal in the weight category up to 63 kg. For the 18-year-old judoka, this is already her third award at the European Junior Cups (won over the past three months).
