July 2025 was another month of consistent work on restoring SumDU infrastructure, which was damaged by air strikes on 13 April 2025. As of 08 January 2025, the total amount of receipts to SumDU charitable accounts amounted to 2,309,847 hryvnias, 1,000 pounds and 345 euros.
During July, we received UAH 62,068. Signed an agreement with the NGO “Center for Lifelong Education” for window installation services in the amount of UAH 115,000. We ordered room renovation in the amount of UAH 92,000. Received humanitarian aid (tables, chairs and other office equipment) from our partner Örebro University (Kingdom of Sweden).
We are infinitely grateful to everyone who joined in supporting our university. Together, we are bringing SumDU closer to restoring the educational process and educational environment.
In total, 2,004,740 UAH have been used since the recovery beginning.
In July, the costs of rebuilding amounted to 572,757 UAH. The main areas of expenditure:
- 506,820 UAH – replacement of windows;
- 65,937 UAH – purchase of building materials (boards, awnings, etc.).
During July, the following work was carried out to eliminate the damage consequences:
- In the K-2 building, 57 windows and 31 double-glazed windows were replaced, Armstrong-type suspended ceilings were repaired, and emergency roof structures were dismantled on an area of about 100 m².
- In the K-3 building, 3 wooden and 29 plastic windows were replaced.
- During the roof repair at the Congress Center, 150 m² of old roofing (in the reading area) was dismantled. Support posts, beams were installed. A crate and OSB boards were mounted. In addition, 100 m³ of construction waste was removed in July (a total of 430 m³).
The work to recover the damaged infrastructure of SumDU is actively ongoing. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who supports us in this difficult time and who financially contributes to the university recovery.
