SumDU continues to receive support from international partners in restoring the educational process after extensive damage caused by air attacks. This time, the university received humanitarian aid from the University of Bern (Switzerland) – modern computer equipment.

The shipment included:

  • 30 laptops;
  • 28 monitors;
  • 35 sets of peripheral equipment (keyboards and mice).

This equipment will partially compensate for the loss of technology suffered by the university departments after the April attacks. In particular, the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration lost a significant number of computers and monitors.

The process of coordinating and delivering the equipment was an example of broad international and public cooperation. It involved representatives of the University of Bern, the Hutsulia public organization from Kosiv, as well as employees and friends of the university who helped with logistics, paperwork, and shipment receipt.

“This assistance in the form of computer equipment is extremely important to us. It allows us to restore opportunities for learning and research, and also gives us a sense of unity and mutual support. It is not only about technology, but also about strength of our networked society and solidarity, which inspires and empowers us,” – said Inna KOBLIANSKA (associate professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration).

“SumDU is sincerely grateful for any help, because every contribution is of great importance for university restoration. The International Cooperation Department coordinates all processes of receiving humanitarian aid, always staying in touch with partners and departments. This allows us to respond quickly to needs of the university community and ensure continuity of the educational process,” – emphasized Tetyana MAYBORODA (deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation).

SumDU expresses sincere gratitude to partners at the University of Bern, the Hutsulia public organization, and everyone who has joined for solidarity in such a difficult time.
