Sumy State University sincerely thanks its partner  Örebro University (Kingdom of Sweden) for yet another powerful act of solidarity: the donation of 20 laptops to support the digital needs of our university community.

The equipment, delivered this week, will be used to equip departments and classrooms affected by the war, as well as to support faculty and staff who lost access to their personal devices due to missile attacks or forced displacement.

The laptops will also strengthen the digital capacity of learning spaces and workstations now operating in bomb shelters and designated safe zones across campus.

This generous support builds upon earlier humanitarian assistance: in July 2025, SumDU received a shipment of office furniture from Örebro University. Together, these two initiatives are a vivid demonstration of our Swedish partners’ steadfast commitment to supporting Ukrainian education in times of crisis.

"We are especially grateful to our Swedish partners for their consistent help, practical assistance, and moral support to our university."

• Ida ANDERSSON-NORRIE, International Strategy Officer at Örebro University, for her continued support and coordination of institutional assistance to Ukraine;
• Yurii ORZIKH, Ukrainian-born legal scholar at Örebro University, for his key role in organizing logistics and ensuring the safe transportation of the laptops to Sumy;
• Tetyana MAYBORODA, Deputy Head of the International Relations Office at SumDU and Associate Professor at the O. Balatsky Department of Management, for coordination and organizational support on the Ukrainian side.
