SumDU successfully passed state certification of higher education institutions in terms of scientific activities. It was conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in two more areas: “Humanities and Arts” and “Biomedical”.

The results were presented on 12 November 2025 during the event “World Science Day 2025: Ukraine”. It was held on occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development.

According to certification results, SumDU entered the qualification group A in five scientific areas:

• “Social”;
• “Engineering and Technology”;
• “Natural and Mathematical”;
• “Humanities and Arts”;
• “Biomedical”.

In terms of areas that belong to the qualification group A, SumDU ranks first among all higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The results confirm the high level of scientific activity of the university in these areas. High certification assessment once again emphasizes that SumDU is a powerful scientific center.

The achievement was a joint merit of the entire university team. They work daily for development of science at SumDU.
