SumDU confirmed its leading position in Ukraine. It has taken the first place among domestic higher education institutions represented in the international ranking QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026. At the global level, SumDU also improved its indicators, rising 18 positions and entering the group of top 800 universities worldwide.

The rating focuses on assessing the external impact of institutions according to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. It includes such key indicators as environmental sustainability, environmental research, quality of education and knowledge exchange, equality, employment, opportunities for graduates, contribution to health and well-being of population, etc.

In total, the rating presents 18 domestic universities from Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Lviv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi.
