Ruslan OSTROHA (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering) became the laureate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Award for Young Scientists in 2025.

This is one of the most prestigious national awards in science, conferred by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for outstanding scientific results that are of strategic importance for state development. Competitive selection of the best scientific works of the country was carried out by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

The cycle of scientific works “Scientific Foundations and Technologies of Granulation in Heterogeneous Media with Active Hydrodynamics of Flows” was highly appreciated for its innovation, scientific novelty and significant contribution to chemical engineering, granulation technologies and environmental remediation. Ruslan OSTROHA’s active international cooperation and his systemic contribution to development of Ukrainian science were separately noted.

“This award is additional confirmation that we are working on results that are valuable for our country. Our research is important, so this motivates us to create solutions that can impact industry and environment,” – commented on the event the SumDU scientist.
