The new year began with impressive achievements by students participating at the SumDU Cultural and Art Center. Throughout January, they represented the university with dignity at international festivals and competitions. Although participation in the events took place remotely, the sincere emotions from victories, reinforced by high results and diplomas, became a real holiday gift.
Oleksii POROSKUN (Medical Institute students) became a real discovery of the “Golden Integral” competition. He confirmed his title of a talented vocalist at the International Competition “Winter Fairy Tale” (Slovakia, Košice). He performed the vocal composition “Luna” and won first place in the Academic Vocal category.
The student choir of contemporary songs also demonstrated significant creative results, presenting the composition “Hutsulka Ksenia” as part of the international art project “Vienna-Toronto”. The group won second place in the Choral Singing category among over 300 participants.
Members of the open youth theater “Kurazh” and the dance studio “S&P” took part in the international art competition “Snow Feeria” (Bucharest, Romania). They competed with over 500 participants from Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Moldova. The theatrical group’s poetic composition in the Artistic Word category was awarded first place. The jury recognized the dance studio’s performance as one of the best.
We sincerely congratulate the winners and thank them for their talent, perseverance, and worthy representation of SumDU at the international level. We wish the students inspiration, creative energy, and new bright victories!
