On 23 January 2026, a landmark event for scientific community took place. It was the Second National Forum of Talented Youth, which brought together over 600 participants from all over the country. During the event, Volodymyr ZELENSKY (President of Ukraine) presented state awards to the best young scientists, including a SumDU member.

The high distinction was given to Oleksandr KUSHNEROV (PhD, senior lecturer at the Department of Economic Cybernetics).

According to the Decree of the Ukrainian President No. 863/2025 “On Awarding the Ukrainian President’s Awards for Young Scientists in 2025,” Oleksandr KUSHNEROV was recognized for his work “Creation of a Multi-Contour Intellectual Cyber Defense System”. This important research was carried out by a team of scientists from higher education and state institutions.

During the forum, the Head of State personally presented the laureates with honorary badges and certificates. It should be noted that the competition was fierce. In total, 23 awards were presented in 2025, which were won by 50 Ukrainian scientists.
