On March 25, Sumy State University hosted a practical masterclass on creative video editing delivered by videographer Yuliia Protsai. The event was organised for first- to third-year students majoring in Marketing at the Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management.

During the session, participants explored modern approaches to creating creative video content using mobile applications and worked with practical tools available in popular video editing software. Particular attention was paid to advanced visual techniques that help effectively position a brand in the digital environment.

As part of the practical component, students mastered the “cloning” technique, which enables the creation of interaction effects between multiple identical characters within a single frame. They also practised methods for seamlessly combining video sequences to produce high-quality short-form content, including Reels and TikTok videos.

Such masterclasses represent an important element of practice-oriented education at the university. They strengthen cooperation with industry professionals, ensure the relevance of the educational process, and help students develop modern professional competencies in digital marketing.

In addition, offline meetings with experts support active academic engagement among students and create additional opportunities for the professional development of future marketing specialists, even under the challenging conditions of a frontline region.
