SumDU took the first place among Ukrainian institutions in the updated July 2026 edition of the international Transparent Ranking.

In total, this ranking edition (compiled by the Cybermetrics Lab research group) evaluates research activity of about 17,400 universities worldwide.

The SumDU first-place finish is a testament to institution’s high level of research activity, international recognition of its scholars’ research, and their significant contribution to global science.

The Transparent Ranking assesses universities’ research performance based on number of publications that rank among the world’s most cited scientific works, according to OpenAlex – a global open-access catalog of scientific publications and researchers.
