In June–September 2026, SumDU hosted a training program for women within a project aimed at developing professional competencies, mastering modern digital technologies, and acquiring new professional skills.

Participants studied the fields “Digital Technologies, 3D Modeling, and IT Skills for Professional Development,” “Digital Technologies and IT Skills for Professional Development,” as well as the blue-collar profession “Security Guard”.

The project was implemented by the non-governmental organization “League of Modern Women” in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), with financial support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).

The Center for Professional and Postgraduate Education served as the project coordinator on behalf of SumDU. ElIT, BiEM and Law Institute members participated in organizing and conducting the event.

In total, 62 participants completed the training program at SumDU. The training programs combined theoretical instruction with practical application of the knowledge and skills necessary for professional development and subsequent application of acquired competencies.

After the training, a ceremony was held to award certificates and diplomas to the participants. This event marked culmination of several months of hard work and, at the same time, a new stage for participants, who gained an opportunity to broaden their professional prospects, acquire new competencies, and enhance competitiveness in the labor market.
