On the last days of the World Universiade, which was held in Naples, Italy, the archers from Sumy State University won two bronze medals at once!

The doctoral student of the Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies “UAB”, Polina Rodionova, a member of Ukrainian women's team, celebrated the victory in the bronze final of Olympic archery competitions among female teams. On the way to the bronze prize, Ukrainian archers won the teams of Indonesia (5-3) and Chinese Taipei (5-4).

On the way to the victory, they lost to the future champions from Korea (0-6), but they didn’t give any changes to the team of Switzerland (6-0) in the competition for the bronze prize. Almost in an hour, Polina Rodionova together with another representative of SumDU, Artem Ovchynnikov, a student of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, repeated the bronze victory. In the mixed team competitions, the Ukrainians won the national team from France (5-4) and Korea (5-1). Having lost to the national team of Japan in the semifinal, but won the team from the USA, our archeries got the bronze medals.

Sumy State University sincerely congratulates both the athletes and the coaches with the double success!
