SumDU at Open days of Ukrainian education “Study in Ukraine” in Abuja, Nigeria

Sumy State University took part in the Open days of Ukrainian education “Study in Ukraine 2019”, which took place in Abuja city, Nigeria on 11^th – 12^th of April 2019. The opening ceremony was participated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria Valerii Aleksandruk, technical assistant to the Honorable Minister of Education Mohammed Mahmud, vice-presidents of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prof. Adesoji Adesugba and Anthonia Shoyele, representative of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nigeria Olena Nedryhailo and Head of the Department of International Cooperation of Ukrainian State Center for International Education Kostyantyn Komisarov.

Open days of Ukrainian education was attended by number of school children and their parents, prospective students, mass media and journalists, graduates from Ukrainian higher educational establishments, president of Association of Nigerian Students.

Within the Ukrainian Open Days Sumy State University held the presentation for prospective students from Nigeria and their parents, consultations on degree programs choice and admission processing to University. 

Also, during the visit to Nigeria Ukrainian delegation had a meeting with Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Education of Nigeria Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono and heads of Ministry’s departments. A large press conference to leading Nigerian mass media was held and negotiations on expanding of cooperation in the field of education between Ukraine and Nigeria.
