On April 22nd, the Head of Sumy Regional State Administration Roman Hryshchenko visited Sumy State University campuses within a working trip. He got acquainted with the innovative potential of the university, the specifics of the educational process during quarantine, and scientific developments of SumDU scientists.

The region leader noted the high level of distance learning organization at the HEI, examined the virtual and augmented reality studio, communicated online with the student rector Anastasiia Lor, and recorded a video message to Sumy region students at SumDU online studio. Also, he familiarized himself with the unique capabilities of the university library and SumDU Congress Center.

Roman Hryshchenko paid special attention to the scientific potential of Sumy State University, in particular, to the development of the biomaterials laboratory "Bionanokompozyt", the development of dual and military purposes, implementation of research works by SumDU scientists, including those commissioned by the foreign partners. Paying attention to the third mission of the University, the Head of the Regional State Administration examined the room of temporary stay for children "Student stork" and the University hospital.

"I am very impressed by the approach, the innovative ideas that are cultivated here, - the Head of the Regional State Administration said. - I see the prospects for further development of both individual spheres and the university as a whole." He also announced the creation of an advisory body at the Regional State Administration - Student Council.
