For the seventh year in a row, Sumy State University entered the list of the best universities in the world, according to the QS ranking for 2020/21 academic years.

SumDU retained its place among the TOP-5 of the best universities in the country, confirming its position 701-750 in the world rankings.

This year, the university received the highest of the ranking points according to the assessment of academic reputation, which is determined by surveys of more than 100 000 experts around the world. The citation index of SumDU, calculated by the QS according to its own unique methodology, considering the aspects of publishing activity in various fields of knowledge and world countries, is now almost double what it was. Traditionally, the QS highly ranked the indicators of the educational process provision with academic staff and the demand for education at SumDU from foreign students.

This year, the TOP-1000 ranking included six Ukrainian universities, and it is known that QS is already researching data from more than 20 HEIs in Ukraine.

According to UNESCO, there are more than 25 000 higher education institutions in the world, and only about 5% of them enter the top of the most famous international rankings.

It is worth reminding that last year SumDU entered the prestigious ranking of the THE World University rankings of the world research universities.
