Sumy State University has launched two new joint projects with the Czech Republic aimed at strengthening the capacity and cooperation of young teachers, researchers, masters, and doctoral students in selected Ukrainian universities, as well as international credit mobility.

Both projects are designed for 2 years and are implemented in a consortium with the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague and four other universities in Ukraine. One of them will soon announce a grant competition for mobility and multidisciplinary research.

The project "AgriSciences Platform for Strengthening Science in Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine", implemented by the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague together with SumDU and four other national universities, provides for the creation of the AgriSciences platform (http://agrisci-ua.com), in addition to which a series of training will be organized in order to improve the quality of scientific results and publications, to expand the knowledge of selected participants. The project plans to work with multidisciplinary research teams, as well as the possibility of obtaining grants for mobility and research.

The project "International Credit Mobility: Cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ukraine", within the Erasmus+ programme, provides a total budget of 85,150 Euro to support the mobility of students and teachers among partners from the Czech Republic and Ukraine, in particular, from SumDU. A total of 22 mobilities will be organized for masters or bachelor students (for 1 semester), postgraduates (3 months), and teachers (each for 10 days). Ukrainian students will have the opportunity to study in English and receive 30 ETCS credits per semester for successfully completed selected subjects. The projects were initiated by the Department of International Economic Relations of the Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies "UAB".
