According to the program (http://hervicon.sumdu.edu.ua/images/stories/Doc-Pdf/Program.pdf), the XVI International Scientific and Engineering Conference “Hermetic Sealing, Vibration Reliability and Ecological Safety of Pump and Compressor Machinery" - "HERVICON+PUMPS-2020" was held online at Sumy State University.
The conference is dedicated to the memory of its founder and permanent chairman of the organizing committee, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Martsynkovskyi. He was a well-known scientist in the field of hydrodynamics and strength of centrifugal pumps, sealing technology and rotor dynamics, an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, an Honored Professor of Sumy State University, Doctor Honoris Causa of Kielce University of Technology (Poland). In 1976, Volodymyr Martsynkovskyi initiated a scientific and engineering meeting on sealing machinery, which later grew into the international scientific and engineering conference "HERVICON+PUMPS-2020".
Scientists and specialists in the field of pump and compressor machinery, seals, bearings, and vibration reliability of centrifugal machines were invited to participate in the conference.
The virtual conference carried out in English, held meetings of 2 sections: 1st section - on the topic "Development, modernization and improvement of power machines", 2nd section - on the topic "Tribology, dynamics and strength of turbomachinery components".
Overall, 33 presentations and 19 poster reports were presented by the participants from 7 countries: Ukraine, Poland, France, Slovakia, South Korea, China, and Iraq.
Reports presented at the conference will be submitted in the form of articles for publication in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) by IOP Publishing (UK), which is indexed by the Scopus and WoS databases.
