About 100 students of Sumy State University in September joined the events within the project “Together - we are the force, or I WANT to be a blogger”, which were conducted in a form of blog-cafes where students developed their skills of blogging and advocacy.

“The project is aimed at educating young people to influence local authorities, businesses, public communities using their own blogs. Nowadays, the Internet and social media are key players, and personal profiles are not only opportunity to share own photos, but is the most effective way of fast communication, in particular with those whom the traditional communication is almost inaccessible with”, - noted Maryna Osiukhina, the coordinator of the project.

Participation in the project was free of charge, however, the number of participants was limited due to the quarantine restrictions.

The participants continue to create their own blogs on advocacy and prepare for the final forum where the representatives of Sumy and Chernihiv regions will have the opportunity to share their experience and achievements.

The project “Together - we are the force, or I WANT to be a blogger” is implemented by Sumy State University together with the public organization “Youth media community” in cooperation with the German organization “Cultures Interactive”, public organization “Human Rights Foundation” and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
