Sumy State University develops cooperation with the world's leading higher education institutions and international organizations. Thanks to modern information technologies, scientists and students actively exchange knowledge and experience with foreign colleagues, organize and conduct joint lectures and seminars in English.

On October 7th, the change of security accents in the modern world was discussed at the seminar that took place at the Congress Center of SumDU. The event was initiated by the Research Center for Regional Security, in cooperation with the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Sociocultural Technologies of SumDU, the Institute of History, Law, and International Relations of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Together with the US military expert Ken Rakers and Professor Oleksandr Potiekhin from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the students discussed the impact of the pandemic on social and economic security, the US election, NATO's role in today's crisis world, and Ukraine-USA relations.

During the discussion, students presented their vision of current world processes, discussed the creation of effective means of counteracting modern threats and challenges.

On October 12th, the Department of Oncology and Radiology organized an online lecture on "Immunological aspects in oncology." It was conducted by Viktor Umanskyi, Professor of the German Cancer Research Center, and the Mannheim Medical Center of the Heidelberg University.

The conversation centered on the prospects of treating patients with melanoma and other localizations with drugs of immune and targeted therapy.

The online lecture was attended by 86 SumDU representatives: heads and academic staff of profiled departments, students, postgraduates, interns, resident physicians of profiled departments.
