At the start of the competition, the SumDU student won twice with confidence but lost to the representative of Georgia in the quarterfinal. Hevorh won the first fight in less than two minutes, but the final battle for the medal lasted more than 8 minutes. The extra time gave the Ukrainian athlete the chance to beat his Hungarian opponent with an ippon.

It should be noted that at the European Youth Judo Championship Hevorh Manukian became the only medalist in the national team of Ukraine. He says that he is happy with the result. The athlete expresses his sincere gratitude to the coaches, as he believes that all his victories first of all are their merit. In the future, he plans to actively train and prepare for the next competitions.
