SumDU athletes are the winners at the Ukrainian Athletics Championship

Athletes of Sumy State University became winners of the Ukrainian Indoor Athletics Championship, which took place on February 10^th-12^th at the Palace of Student Sports of SumDU.

Ihor Musienko, a postgraduate student of the Medical Institute, won a gold medal in the shot-put competition. The team of the Medical Institute students Oleksandr Pohorilko, Yaroslav Demchenko, and Yevhen Shvets brought SumDU gold in the 4x400 meters relay.

The students of the Medical Institute Artem Alfimov (1500 and 3000 meters race), Stas Kovalenko (60 meters) and Oleksandr Pohorilko (400 meters) became the silver medalists.

Our athletes also excelled at the youth championship of Ukraine in athletics, the result - 2 gold and 2 bronze medals.

Oleksandr Pohorilko became the best in the 400 meters distance. The 4x400 relay brought gold to Darina Masliuk (Academic and Research Institute of Law), Alina Bohdanova (Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies), and Hanna Tsybulnyk (Medical Institute). The bronze medalists of the championship were students of the Medical Institute Artur Bortnikov (pole vault) and Yaroslav Demchenko (200 meters race).
