On September 28, a delegation from India visited Sumy State University led by Taliil Poduval SETHUMADHAVAN, Adviser on Foreign Education.

At the meeting, SumDU was represented by the First Vice-Rector Serhiy LYEONOV, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogic Work and Financial and Economic Activity Volodymyr KASYANENKO and the Director of the Department of International Education Mykola BOZHKO.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the conditions of study and increase the number of students from India at Sumy State University, expand the range of majors for Indian students to study in, as well as prospects for cooperation, in particular, in the direction of virtual academic mobility.

"We are interested not only in increasing the number of foreign students but also in expanding the range of partner universities. Currently, we are actively developing a project to organize virtual academic mobility, which provides for joint training of students of economic majors from different countries", - Serhiy LYEONOV said.

Mr. Taliil Poduval SETHUMADHAVAN noted the high position of SumDU in the leading international rankings, which is one of the determining factors in choosing a university for foreign students to study at.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the educational and scientific base of SumDU, the list of majors, the conditions of education of foreign students, the infrastructure of the university, as well as the features of studying during quarantine.

During the visit to the SumDU library, the delegation received their own library cards, visited the Historical and Local Lore Studies Museum and reading rooms, got acquainted with the possibilities of access to databases and information resources. The guests were impressed by a visit to the virtual and augmented reality laboratory "Ulab" and an online studio, where they could watch the class teaching in a video format.
