On October 22nd, Sumy State University was visited by the Coordinator for Ukraine of the Embassy of Tanzania in Sweden Edward Gabriel PAULO, Director of “Global Education Link” Zakia HUSSEIN, the General Manager of “Global Education Link” Regina PREY.

At a meeting with the First Vice-Rector of SumDU Serhiy LYEONOV, the Director of the Department of International Education Mykola BOZHKO, the Vice-Director for coordination of cooperation with foreign institutions and work with international students of Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management Tetyana MAYBORODA, they discussed a number of issues regarding the Tanzanian students’ studying at SumDU, the accommodation conditions in the residences and expanding opportunities for university entrants from other countries.

"For us, this meeting is very important, because most students from Tanzania study at Sumy State University among the higher education institutions of Ukraine", - said Serhiy LYEONOV.

The Director of “Global Education Link” Zakia HUSSEIN noted that the company is opening a branch in Kenya, so she expressed interest in expanding the partnership and readiness to facilitate the entry of Kenyan applicants to SumDU. Ms. Zakia HUSSEIN also expressed hope for further cooperation in attracting Tanzanian entrants to the university, relying on good feedback from students.

The guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with the educational and scientific base and social infrastructure of SumDU. The guests were impressed by the unique capabilities of the library and laboratory of virtual and augmented reality "Ulab", sports and cultural facilities.

For your information. Sumy State University currently has more than 150 students from Tanzania. It is the second-largest foreign student community at the university.
