On January 19, Sumy State University hosted an official meeting with representatives of design and supervision consulting companies within the framework of the project “Higher Education in Ukraine”.

The program envisages thermal modernization of educational, research, and auxiliary facilities of Ukrainian universities, which will help to increase energy efficiency, improve the quality of university buildings, reduce their operating costs. The Higher Education in Ukraine project is a part of the joint financial support provided to Ukraine by the European Investment Bank and the European Union in the field of energy efficiency.

SumDU is one of the six Ukrainian universities that won the right to participate in the first stage of the project on the competitive basis. At the meeting, the participants discussed urgent issues regarding its implementation.

"We are interested in the project and are ready to do our best to move the work forward as soon as possible. I am satisfied with our today constructive conversation, because we managed to work out the joint strategy for further action", - the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Financial and Economic Activities of SumDU Volodymyr KASIANENKO summed up.
