On January 28, Sumy State University hosted the delegation from Estonia chaired by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo KUUSK.

Andrii BIRIUKOV, Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization, visited the University together with the foreign delegation.

During the visit, SumDU was represented by: First Vice-Rector Serhii LEONOV, Head of the International Affairs Department Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO, Head of the Center for Regional Security Research Mykola NAZAROV, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies Oleksii DROZDENKO, Head of the Cybersecurity Department Volodymyr LIUBCHAK.

The participants of the meeting discussed the educational and scientific potential of the university, in particular, the training of specialists in IT and cybersecurity, as well as cooperation with foreign companies, grant activities, and academic mobility of students and staff, outlined the prospects for joint projects implementation. At the end of the meeting, Kaimo KUUSK shared his impressions of the university in the "Comments Book".

During the tour of the main campus of the university, guests from Estonia got acquainted with the potential and material and technical base of SumDU library, visited the IT centers of partner companies, the laboratory of virtual and augmented reality "Ulab".

Kaimo KUUSK noted that the achievements of Sumy State University in the field of IT and cybersecurity are very promising for the implementation of joint projects. In turn, Estonia is ready to actively share its experience in cybersecurity and digitalization.
