On April 5, the online meeting of representatives of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications of Sumy State University with colleagues from Germany, teachers of audiovisual arts at the University of Mainz named after Johann Gutenberg (Rhineland-Palatinate) was held.

The head of the department Volodymyr SADIVNYCHY and the head of the department, Professor Kateryna SHUPP, other participants of the meeting from both universities, discussed areas of cooperation, first of all, regarding the joint research projects, opportunities for student academic exchange, etc. In particular, the plans for the nearest future have been outlined. The major issues concern involving student journalists in the German educational process. The first working meeting turned out to be quite effective, so both sides hope for further fruitful cooperation. For the German partners, it is also an opportunity to express solidarity, support students and teachers-colleagues from Ukraine in these difficult times.

It is pleasant to note that one of the organizers of the meeting is the first graduate of the Department of Journalism of SumDU, Marina HRYTSAY, a native of Sumy, who currently teaches in Mainz.
