Representatives of SumDU took part in the meeting of rectors of the Consortium of Ukrainian and Warsaw Universities

On May 12, the 2nd meeting of the rectors of the Consortium of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions and the University of Warsaw took place online.

Sumy State University was represented by Rector Vasyl KARPUSHA and Head of the Department of International Cooperation Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO.

The participants of the meeting discussed the directions of cooperation under the conditions of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine.

The representative of the University of Warsaw noted that the Polish scientific and educational community was in solidarity with Ukrainian colleagues during such a difficult period, expressed hope for a quick end of the war and the resumption of full-fledged activities of universities in Ukraine. Given the difficulties that Ukrainian higher education institutions have faced since the full-scale Russian invasion of our country, the University of Warsaw will allocate 15 million euros to support Ukrainian universities. The participants of the meeting were demonstrated the areas for which financial assistance was planned.

Representatives of the Consortium of Ukrainian Universities thanked their Polish colleagues for their comprehensive support and for their efforts to expand Polish-Ukrainian partnerships. The participants exchanged views on the proposals for cooperation offered by the Polish university.
