The SumDU delegation (headed by rector Vasyl KARPUSHA) visited University of Liverpool. The purpose was raising partnership in education and research.

Since the previous year, SumDU and University of Liverpool have been partners within the Twinning Initiative. The program cooperation comprises summer school, student exchanges, advanced training, online courses, access to world databases. Besides, there was joint work in brand management, marketing, library and research.

During the visit, one held a final round table, conference and events within the project “Cooperation to Digitalize Research and Ukrainian Transformation”. Here, reports and future partnership prospects were discussed in environment, healthcare, power efficiency, management, finances, economics, material science, engineering, computer science and modelling.

Now, 18 SumDU members have completed a 2-month advanced training. They worked in centers and laboratories at University of Liverpool. 30 virtual participants joined online from Ukraine.

According to Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO (SumDU program coordinator), the cooperation results increased significantly. Currently, they cover most branches of research and education at SumDU and University of Liverpool. That is a unique form of international cooperation. Subsequently, we have highly-skilled and reliable partners in the United Kingdom.

“I appreciate University of Liverpool for friendship and support! Each project result is a contribution to Ukrainian recovery. Armed with education, we are proceeding to victory!” – said Vasyl KARPUSHA.

Note: University of Liverpool belongs to TOP 20 British institutions. Also, it is one of TOP 100 highly ranked universities worldwide. 9 graduates are Nobel Prize laureates.
