In 2023, SumDU won 13 Jean Monnet Erasmus+ grants. Comparing with the 2020-2022 results (7, 10 and 11 grants, respectively), the 2023 achievement is the highest one among all Ukrainian universities!

The winners are the Business, Economics and Management Institute (8 projects), the Law Institute (4 projects), the Medical Institute (1 project).

The project topics concern energy saving, Ukrainian recovery via EU values. They combine science, manufacture and entrepreneurship. Besides, medical insurance, green tourism, cybersecurity, copyright protection, anticorruption policies, shadow economy resistance, public society development, free speech, reject processing and sustainable development are considered.

Vasyl KARPUSHA (the SumDU rector) noted that our university is increasingly representing EU standards in Ukraine. The proof is the annual records for the Jean Monnet Erasmus+ grants since 2020. These projects include the most relevant activities for our state on the EU way.

According to Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO (the SumDU Erasmus+ coordinator, rector assistant for international affairs, head of the SumDU International Affairs Department), such a great result confirms a high research level and deep implementation of European values into education and science. That contributes to SumDU recognition as a reliable partner to implement innovative international projects.

Let all teams succeed in further studies! Let SumDU proceed closer to the European education space!
