The Physical Education and Sports Committee at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the Ukrainian Sports Student Union, traditionally congratulated winners and prize-winners of the Summer Universiade. SumDU took the second place among all institutions of higher education and won the golden championship cup.

Honorable mentions and sports cups at the closing ceremony in Lviv were received by Vasyl KARPUSHA (SumDU rector).

Almost 30,000 male and female students from 117 institutions participated in the selection stages. About 3,000 participants of final competitions won awards in 16 sports.

We are proud of our students who successfully represented SumDU. We wish them perseverance and luck in achieving new brilliant victories!
