Representatives of Sumy State University distinguished themselves at the All-Ukrainian students’ scientific works competition. 26 prize places are the first achievements of SumDU students.

Six studies of young scientists have won the first prize. The best in Ukraine are the works of competitors from SumDU in the following areas: "Power Engineering", "Administrative Law and Procedure; Financial Law; Information Law", "Economics and Economic Policy", "Actual Problems of Cooperation with the European Union", "Banking", "Management of Financial and Economic Security".

Sumy State University continues the project of virtual education within the course “Strategic Management” (teacher Hanna Shvindina). There are webinars on topical issues in the sphere of strategic management and decision making planned for the next 5 weeks. The partners of the project are the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and Whitefield Business School (Mauritius). The next session is on April 9th, starts at 13.25 PM. From March 31st to April 3rd the Marketing Department of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management organized webinar-workshops for teachers and postgraduates of different majors and faculties within the program of professional development from the Center of Human Resources Development of SumDU.

SumDU scientists in quarantine conditions have an opportunity to conduct research through methods of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, x-ray microanalysis, x-radiography, spectrophotometry and chromatography with the help of the Centre of core facilities “Laboratory of material science of solar power system, sensor and nanoelectronic systems”.

The first live stream took place on April 1st on the subject of “The experience of online learning technologies: what is available to the teacher today?” that was conducted by Hanna Shvindina, the Head of the Management Department of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management. In order to make the stream #SumDU_live more interactive, the speaker contacted its participants via two platforms: Facebook and Hangouts Meet.

Specialists of the Departments of Infectious Diseases with Epidemiology and Paediatrics of the Medical Institute of SumDU created the standard of drug-induced administration provided for the treatment of patients of middle and severe acute of COVID-19. Guidelines are approved by the Department of Public Health of Sumy Regional State Administration.

Translator students of the Department of Germanic Philology of SumDU won in the IV International student translation contest “Translation as a tool for updating ethno-lingual images of the world”, results of which were summed up online on March 26th on the base of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

The representatives of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management visited 6 world countries in frames of international educational and research projects and internship programmes so far this year: Australia, Armenia, India, the USA, Nigeria and Ghana. All delegations came back to Ukraine before the beginning of quarantine announcement due to spread of dangerous coronavirus COVID-19 in the world.

On March 26th Sumy State University joined the Coursera for Campus program that provides a free access to over 3800 courses from the leading universities and companies of the world. All the teachers, students and employees of SumDU can register for unlimited number of courses till July 31st 2020 and finish them till September 31st 2020.
