In September 2022, the SumDU Academic Council conferred an honorary title on Michal HATALA (a professor from Technical University of Košice, Slovak Republic). It was based on a significant scientist’s contribution to international cooperation in research and education.

As the head of the Regional Security Research Center at Sumy State University, Mykola NAZAROV participated in the New Era of Insecurity Conference (Helsinki, Finland, 26-28 October 2022). He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies.

On the Erasmus Days, there was a SumDU meeting of 11 research supervisors. Their projects won the 2022 Erasmus+ Jean Monnet contest. The applications could be submitted during the military situation as well.
