On February 10, Sumy State University delegates took part in symposium of the Urban X-Change Network project in German twin-city for Sumy: "Joint Peace Center Celle-Sumy: Support in times of crisis through education, social affairs and culture", dedicated to the organization of lifelong learning and adult education as its component during crisis period.
SumDU students began their long-term study at University of Liverpool. Among them, there are members of the Department of Germanic Philology and the Department of Ecology and Environment Protection Technologies.

According to Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics), Sumy State University improved its reputation. It rose by over 100 positions. Among the best world universities, SumDU took the 1350th place. Besides, it follows two best Ukrainian institutions: Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
On 27 January 2023, there was an online meeting between SumDU (Ukraine) and Alte University (Georgia). It resulted in signing a partnership treaty.
The GlobalLogic Education team held the initiative “IT Pet Project Student Competition”. Here, students of 15 Ukrainian universities demonstrated their software products. The best participants were awarded modern laptops.
Anton DUDCHENKO (a master student at the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies) was awarded a silver medal during the European biathlon competition in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
On 11-22 January 2023, Lake Placid (the USA) hosted the Winter World University Games. Here, the third award was given to Ukraine. In particular, Dmytrii HRUSHCHAK, a SumDU student at the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies, got the silver medal for the Ukrainian national team. He overcame 12.5 km in biathlon competitions.
On 12 January 2022, the SumDU dormitory held a students’ meeting with administrative units. The topic was “Power Saving: Smart Use”.
