Sumy State University develops cooperation with the world's leading higher education institutions and international organizations. Thanks to modern information technologies, scientists and students actively exchange knowledge and experience with foreign colleagues, organize and conduct joint lectures and seminars in English.
By the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1231 of October 6th, 2020, four students of SumDU and its separate structural subdivisions were awarded personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
On October 6th-9th, the first stage of the international school "Media Literacy in the Regions of Ukraine" took place on the basis of the Department of Journalism and Philology of SumDU, which is implemented with the financial support of the German Embassy in Ukraine.

On September 25th, a unique training and production center of dual education, equipped with the most advanced high-tech equipment, was presented at the Machine Building College of Sumy State University.
About 100 students of Sumy State University in September joined the events within the project “Together - we are the force, or I WANT to be a blogger”, which were conducted in a form of blog-cafes where students developed their skills of blogging and advocacy.
On September 20th, SumDU athletes celebrated a holiday - International Student Sports Day.
