On March 22^nd Sumy State University hosted the II International scientific and practical conference “Design functions in the modern world: gauge of 2019”. Conference was participated by the scientists from Ukraine, China, Poland, Germany and Belarus. The workflow was organized in such directions: scientific and theoretic basics of design; widening of design functions at the turn of Millennium; the art of design in the context of market relations; intertextual gauges of modern design and others. SSU was presented at the conference by the Director of Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies “UAB” Iryna Dyakonova and Associate Professor of the Foreign Languages Department of the Institute Rymma Mylenkova. Foreign Languages Department teachers Larysa Andreiko, Hanna Kozlovska and Larysa Otroshchenko also participated in the conference.

On March 11^th-15^th the Ukrainian scientists’ delegation coordinated by Scientific and Research Institute of Energy Efficiency of Sumy State University visited the city of Chengdu (PRC). Scientists met with representatives of Nuclear Power Institute of China, for which they will develop and project the main pump for the energy installation.
