Please accept the sincerest congratulations and wishes of peace, happiness, health, and prosperity on the anniversary of our country!
For centuries, Ukraine has been striving for its dream of independence. Therefore, the celebration of this date is, first of all, a tribute of honor and gratitude to the generations of Ukrainians who for many centuries sacrificially fought for the freedom and independence of our state, defended the right to be masters of the native land.
The Independence Day of Ukraine is a holiday that unites all those who sincerely love their country, who contribute to its development and prosperity with everyday inspired work.
Only together we are Ukraine! Our fruitful work together will be a sure guarantee of a happy future for each of us and for our native country.
On this day when our hearts are filled with a sense of justice, dignity, and pride, awareness of our own involvement in the creation of the state, I wish all of us faith and unity, wisdom, and harmony on the way to building a rich and prosperous independent Ukraine!

On August 11th the representative of the Shanxi Agricultural University (People’s Republic of China) Van JUNZHONG visited Sumy State University.
On August 10th Sumy State University was visited by the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Ukraine Dirisu IREN Assistant of the Consul of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Ukraine Ukadike CHINEMERE.
From July 26th to August 2nd Sumy State University participated in the largest exhibition of higher education, science, and technologies of Tanzania annually organized by the Commission for Universities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technologies.
According to the renewed results of the Webometrics ranking, Sumy State University confirmed the position in the TOP-3 of Ukrainian universities together with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Sumy State University once again confirmed the high quality of professionals’ training. On July 27th, at a meeting of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, two academic programmes for the training of Doctor of Philosophy in the majors 061 "Journalism" and 222 "Medicine" were recognized as exemplary.
On July 26th, within the project “Higher Education in Ukraine” for comprehensive energy-efficient renovation of six Ukrainian universities the contracts were signed with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of EUR 49 million and a grant from the Eastern European Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Environment (E5P) of EUR 10 million.
On July 23rd the XXXII Summer Olympic Games started in the capital of Japan - Tokyo and will end on August 8th. 158 participants in 25 kinds of sports will represent Ukraine at the large-scale sports forum.
The Webometrics Ranking has published the first edition of Transparent Ranking this year, which will be included in the main Webometrics Ranking.
On July 14, Ukraine has started the admission of electronic applications from the graduates of the general secondary education institutions and professional colleges to study in higher education institutions. On July 15, the admission to the Master's degree programmes has begun. On the first day of the admission campaign, Sumy State University received twice as many applications as same period last year.
The applications for enrollment to the HEI are submitted electronically through the personal account of the entrant.
